AI Project Manager

BoundAI delivers AI-powered automation solutions into live insurance environments where compliance, operational accuracy, and stakeholder alignment are critical. As Project Manager, you will own end-to-end client deployments, ensuring projects move efficiently from contract signature through production go-live.
This role offers the opportunity to lead complex enterprise implementations across carriers, MGAs, brokers, and Lloyd’s syndicates while helping shape and improve the deployment playbook for a rapidly growing InsurTech company. You’ll work closely with AI/ML engineers, product leaders, and client stakeholders to drive successful outcomes in a highly regulated industry.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Have Qualifications
- 5–8 years of Project Management, Program Management, or Implementation Management experience delivering enterprise software solutions to external clients
- Proven experience managing complex deployments involving multiple stakeholders, approval processes, and technical integrations
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT environments, including security reviews, compliance requirements, procurement processes, and governance frameworks
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage technical, operational, and executive audiences
- Experience developing and maintaining project plans, risk registers, status reports, and implementation documentation
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Technical literacy sufficient to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and understand integration, deployment, and system architecture discussions
- Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion while balancing timelines, scope, quality, and customer expectations
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience delivering software implementations within insurance, InsurTech, financial services, LegalTech, or other regulated industries
- Familiarity with insurance carriers, MGAs, surplus lines organizations, delegated authority models, or Lloyd’s market operations
- Experience deploying AI, machine learning, intelligent automation, or data-driven enterprise solutions
- Knowledge of enterprise integration concepts including APIs, webhooks, ETL pipelines, middleware platforms, and SSO/IAM solutions
- PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent project management certification
- Experience leading change management initiatives and driving user adoption across operational teams
- Exposure to PAS, AMS, DMS, or other insurance technology ecosystems
What You’ll Do
- Own the full deployment lifecycle from project kickoff through production go-live, typically within a structured 90-day implementation program
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans covering security reviews, compliance approvals, integrations, testing, training, and deployment activities
- Lead stakeholder alignment across client IT, compliance, underwriting, operations, and executive teams throughout the implementation process
- Facilitate regular project governance meetings, status updates, risk reviews, and steering committee discussions
- Proactively identify, manage, and resolve project risks, dependencies, blockers, and scope changes across multiple concurrent deployments
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including AI/ML Engineering, Product, Design, and Customer Success to ensure timely delivery
- Manage all client-facing project communications, including status reporting, escalation management, decision tracking, and deployment readiness reviews
- Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT), training activities, and go-live preparation to ensure successful adoption
- Support post-deployment stabilization and transition clients to Customer Success teams for long-term engagement
- Capture lessons learned and continuously improve implementation processes, documentation, and deployment playbooks
